OUR ROOM- A Tribute to Betty Sherrill
This year’s Hampton Designer Showhouse marks Gil Walsh Interior’s premier appearance at a major American showhouse. The room, a sunny study on the second floor, is a loving tribute to the late Betty Sherrill, the first lady of American #interior #design. As president and CEO of the legendary design firm, McMillen, Inc., Mrs. Sherrill singlehandedly took the hocus pocus out of interior #décor and refashioned it into a quantifiable business, packaging gracious living, quiet good taste and connoisseurship into a respected, desirous service. It is our hope that this exuberant space, with its charming furnishings, dramatic Brunschwig & Fils fabrics and walls in Mrs. Sherrill’s beloved daffodil yellow, will inspire, delight and further the legacy of high design that truly defined the extraordinary Betty Sherrill.
